Rediscovering Resilience
A 6- Week Therapeutic Ketamine Group
Summer of 2025
This small group (4-6 participants) experience draws upon positive psychology and social support to help participants increase their resilience through practices in mindfulness, self-compassion and creative self-expression. In addition to the powerful dynamic of the group, ketamine is utilized to deepen reconnection to one’s sense of agency and inner strength.
Why Group Ketamine?
At our core, we humans are social creatures who need connection, intimacy and a sense of belonging to thrive. Social reward critical periods are times during childhood and early adolescence when the brain is malleable and becomes attuned to "social rewards" (such as smiling, affection, and feelings of acceptance) which then help wire the brain to seek out social behavior and feel good in doing so. If a child lacks opportunities for positive social connection, it can blunt the development of the social reward system. Later in life, this individual may have difficulty forming and keeping healthy relationships, they may avoid social contact due to discomfort and anxiety, and they are at a higher risk for developing mental health symptoms. Along with other psychedelics, ketamine has been shown to reopen social reward critical periods. Through our own experiences, we have seen how ketamine can facilitate a greater ease with being vulnerable with others which fosters resilience in its own right and builds upon itself with integration activities.

This group was not developed to treat specific mental health conditions. Rather this group was organized to help individuals who may be experiencing mental health symptoms bolster their inherent strengths through practices in mindfulness, self-compassion and creative expression. As such, this group is most appropriate for those who are actively engaged with an external psychotherapist and can draw upon their capacities for self-regulation when in a group environment.
Each participant is required to attend all of the sessions offered in this group series in order to collectively build a sense of trust and safety in this shared experience.
